Model A Coupe wanted to buy

Bruno Bello is looking to buy a Model A Coupe.  He would appreciate any advice or direction where he might find one.

I will write his email address here in long-hand to minimise the possibility that web crawlers will find his email address in this post and send him more rubbish:

How to add your own post

Don’t be discouraged by the apparent length of these instructions – have a go.  The instructions include the details on how to add photos and how to add a link to another web page – and you may not even want to do these things, so they can be skipped.

If it all goes pear-shaped, you can simply delete your post at any time.

  1. If you have photos to be included, resize your photos to something no bigger than 1280×1024 pixels, or a couple of hundred kilobytes in size each.  (There is usually no point in having them bigger than this, and they will be much quicker to upload – important when you’ve got a dodgy internet connection).  A free program for Windows computers called Image ReSizer is nice and easy to use.
  2. Log in to the MARC WA web page
    1. Click “News and Posts” on the menu
    2. Scroll down and click “Log In” underneath the “Model A Restorer’s Club of WA” heading right down the bottom
    3. enter your user name (or the email address you supplied when you requested your user name) and password
    4. If you are using your own personal computer, you may want to tick the “Remember Me” box (but don’t if you are using some public access computer)
  3. Go to “+ New” at the very top, and select “Post” from the drop-down menu
  4. Enter the title for your post
  5. Enter the text
  6. Upload photos
    1. Place the cursor where you want to insert a photo,
    2. Select “Add Media” (between your title and the toolbar above the post)
    3. Select the “Upload Files” tab at the top left
    4. Either drag and drop your photos into the window, or click “Select Files” and select your photos
    5. If you have uploaded multiple photos, select the ones you want to go into the post by clicking on them while holding the Ctrl key down
    6. Click “Insert into post” (bottom right)
  7. To insert a link to another page somewhere out there on the internet:
    1. Copy the “URL” of the page you want the link to (the bit up the top in the Address Bar that usually starts “https://blabla..” or http://blabla…”).  On a Windows machine, simply click on the address so it all goes blue, then hit Ctrl and C
    2. Put the cursor where you want your link
    3. Click on the button in the toolbar that looks like some links of a chain
    4. Click the gearwheel button on the end of the box that popped-up
    5. Paste your copied link into the URL box (on a Windows machine, simply hit Ctrl and V)
    6. Enter the text that you would like to be displayed (eg “click here”) – otherwise the gobbledy-gook URL will be displayed
    7. Select the box that says “Open Link in a New Tab”
    8. Click “Add Link” down the bottom
  8. Select the Category for your post (lower right)
  9. When you’re done, click “Publish” (centre-right)
  10. Select “Model A Restorer’s Club of WA Inc” in the very top left to return to the normal club website and view your post on the “News and Posts” page
  11. If you are viewing your post and want to make a change, select “Edit” on the line under the post

example post in Offered

Members with no longer wanted Model A-related items can advertise them here – either as free, or for a price.  Note that members of the public can see these notices, so if you are prepared to offer it at a lower price to club members than non-club members, it might be wise to say so.
